The Esky "Dauphin" is modeled after the famous Aerospatiale AS-365, which has been utilized in many different forms, the most famous being rescue platforms, such as the United States Coast Guard variant. Developed in the early 1970's, the AS-365 featured twin turbo shaft engines, and a "Fenestron" tail rotor system, which not only aided in safety, but added performance in forward/sideward flight, while adding greater anti-torque thrust. The US Coast Guard has utilized the variant of the AS-365 (SA-366/HH-65 Dolphin) for over 30 years as their primary SRR (Short Range Recovery) platform, allowing this incredibly capable helicopter to perform all manner of daring rescues via land & sea.

Drawing upon this design, Esky offers the "Dauphin" in a super stable coaxial design, allowing this helicopter to be flown by just about anyone. Coaxial helicopters, by nature of their counter rotating rotor design, lend well to new pilots due to the inherent stability of the counter rotating blades, which requires no tail rotor or anti-torque device. Due to this, the "Dauphin" can be flown by those who have never flown helicopters before, and can be mastered in a very short time span.

Adding to this package is the Esky 2.4Ghz technology, allowing you to fly without the worry of interference, jamming, or channel confliction. Now, multiple helicopters can be flown at once without interference, and Esky's 2.4Ghz technology provides crisp, rapid response times, allowing precise control in flight.

Even more is the included Esky simulator software, which will allow new pilots to fly via their PC, building skills before they take to the air! CD software & USB cable included in package, allowing you to use the 2.4Ghz transmitter via your PC.

Designed for indoor flight (outdoor flight not recommended unless completely calm with zero wind), the Esky "Dauphin" functions just like its true life counterpart; with 4 channel control, the Dauphin can be flown forward, aft, left, right, up & down, and can "yaw" left & right as well, commonly called "rudder turns." All aspects of flight incorporate excellent stability due to the coaxial design, and when trimmed correctly, the Dauphin can be flown with minimal control, allowing the helicopter to remain in a stable attitude of flight at all times.

Incorporating scale features, such as the landing skids with wheels that roll, you can utilize rolling takeoffs & landings for added effect & greater challenges as well. Also included is a flashing LED light above the tail rotor, which adds a great amount of scale detail in flight, making low light conditions even more fun! The Dauphin, just like its true scale counterpart, also incorporates a "Fenestron" tail rotor that spins freely during flight, adding even more scale realism to this amazing machine. Coalesce this with the rescue paint scheme, this helicopter looks as good as it flies!

The Esky "Dauphin" is available in (2) color patterns, and is RTF (Ready to Fly) out of the box, including a fully assembled helicopter, (8) AA transmitter batteries, (1) 800mah 2S 7.4V LiPo flight battery, (1) LiPo AC battery charger, and a 4 Channel 2.4Ghz transmitter that is factory set & ready for flight. Simply install the included (8) AA batteries into the transmitter, charge the included 800mah 2S LiPo battery (takes about 1 hour), and you'll be ready for takeoff!
